rundll32.exe usbdrvsetup.dll,setupdriver this will make the easywriter use the driver for your ftdi board. this command will not work with the ft2232h breakout board, because this does not contain any ftdi drivers in the first place.
i can set the configuration and capabilities of the easywriter, but i can get it to start the programming process. then it fails with an error which says “error: a program can’t be loaded from source” and that the board is not supported. i looked around on novatek’s site and they say they do not support this board, and it says that the boards are all programmed using ftdi chips. has anyone had this problem and could tell me how to get around it?
i have downloaded and installed the novatek vga programmer driver from this site. i tried installing the driver but it said that it couldnt be installed on my windows platform. i also tried removing the files in novatek’s easywriter vga driver folder, but then the vga driver does not work with the easywriter.
i have tried to program the easywriter with ftdi and the novatek vga driver. unfortunately, the vga driver seems to be buggy. i do not get any errors during the programing process, but it fails to connect to the easywriter. when i try to do a setup in easywriter, it will say that it has connected but it wont do anything after that. i have tried to go into the manual mode but it wont work either. also, i have tried to set up the automatic mode, but it wont work at all.
i bought an m.nt68667.2a board from ebay, which was programmed for the wrong lcd panel and due to shipping cost im not all that existed to ship it back in order to get that corrected. im looking for a low cost solution to reprogram the board. do you know if this can be used with the novatek easywriter
